terroir wine bar

I recently did a shoot of a new wine bar that just opened in Tribeca called Terroir at 24 Harrison Street for Richard H. lewis Architects. The bar had their grand opening the night before so it was a bit chaotic photographing between deliveries and the staff prepping the bar up for that upcoming night, but we were able to pull off some great shots. If interested in seeing some of the images from the shoot they can be viewed at www.richardhlewis.com under Restaurants or on my own web site.

For the shoot we had a limited amount of time in the space and it was actively being used by the employees to prepare for the upcoming night. We needed to work quickly, be as unobtrusive as possible and work with the minimal of lighting. I had been reading about the Pocket Wizards new TT1 & TT5 systems and decided to give them a try. Shooting with a Canon 5D Mark II and 2 Canon Strobe units, I was able to light all my shots with ease and minimum disturbance to the employees working. In the end the shoot worked out great, We were able to get all the images we needed and delivered the final retouched images to the Client in less than a weeks time.
