Congratulation KAI!

I normally do not get too personal on my blog but I really want to congratulate my son on placing First in Kata and First place in Kumite in the kids Tournament for World Oyama Karate! He had a great time and was so excited about winning! We are all very proud of his accomplishment!
Good Job!

Shooting for LoveSac

I recently had the opportunity to shoot for LoveSac Alternative furniture company in Palm Coast, Florida.
we rented several very large beach houses and decided to shoot and stay in the houses to cut costs down on the production. After several days of staying together we all became a tight crew and produced some great images for LoveSac. We shot several lines of there Sac's, Essentially bean bags for the 21st century filled with durable Foam, Comfortable enough to fall asleep in for several hours. The Sactional furniture which is a pretty cool concept, it is sectional furniture which is easily configurable into different pieces styles, and there New indoor outdoor line of Sactionals made of a synthetic weaved material. After 4 days of shooting and enjoying the beach, we spent the last day creating a series of informative videos with LoveSacs Founder and Chief Sac Shawny D! An intense and creative guy who is now a friend!
Check out some of the behind the scenes photos taken with my favorite camera the Hipstamatic

hawaii production

one of our locations was the same location used for "Lost" and a variety of other films

straight ahead is the famous "Gilligans Island"

some of the 35 lights we used to pull this shot off

The past summer was great! We spent close to a month on the island of Oahu, Hawaii working on a photo and video production for a major hotel chain. 1013 Productions was the local production company handling the production in Hawaii and we were there scouting locations, working the shots out, planning the schedule and working out the logistics. 12 Hour day minimums paid off in the end, We had a great production, were able to produce some great stills for the client. When the print campaign was finished we jumped into the next phase of the production and went to work on the video for the same client. Choosing to work with the RED. The video end of the production was longer than the print but the results were spectacular. the clients were happy with the final product and the  crew were excited to have been part of a fun and challenging shoot.

whale watching

This year for a vacation we decided to take it easy so we packed up the family and headed to Wellfleet in Cape Cod for a much need break. Since Whale watching is a must do while on the Cape we took our son my cameras and had a great afternoon. We saw a total of 35 Humpback whales feeding, and playing. Whale watching is an amazing experience especially when you see them from 20 feet away. A great experience for anybody!
